I try to install vegacream, using modded stock v2 as base. But, after updating with CWM zip, and reboot, the screen just give me back light. Nothing else happen next, even when I let it like that for 30 menit, it stay just like that.
Then, I reflash my tablet using VegaICS beta. After, factory reset, clearing dalvik cache, then install the zip update, the tablet won't give me nothing but backlight of the screen.
I then download the nvflash format of VegaCream beta 2.1. I flash my tablet then it boot fine. My tablet is working now, I have no idea why, I only get back light when installing using CWM update.
I recall that I have made some success a few month ago with the CWM update when I install vegacream 2.1 for the first time, but I can not remember what ROM i use for its base. Whether the nvflash of Vegacream beta 2, VegaICS, or moddedsctock. It work that time, vegacream beta 2.1 was installed and run nicely. But now I got no luck with the CWM zip.
If you have problem with the CWM update, you could always download the nvflash version of vegacream.

VegaCream Beta 4 Update is Online
Another good news for the shuttle fans, Advent Vega cs, new release of vegacream is out. Yes, we have something new to try :)
A lot of positive response, especially after some patch released by scanno. It using new kernel 3.1. Sleep and wifi problem has been solved. For me, still using VegaCream beta 2.1, stable enough for my daily activity with the tablet. Some user give a shoot for beta 3 and fallback to 2.1. And Beta 4.1 still marked as experimental. So........
I am waiting for Release Candidate.
But, if someone curious enough to test and help the development, if you have time, you can grab the Beta 4.1 right at the forum. It released as CWM update or nvflash format. Happy debugging :)

The Negative

Third Day Log Using VegaCream
I still think this is the best custom ROM for advent vega, POV mobii, or pad like those. On my third day using it, hehe, i have to re-flash the tablet twice, because it won't boot. I still keep trying to figure out, why the tablet went to the stage. I just power-off the tablet normally, but the next time I power on, it only give it's screen back-light, and no more. The tablet stays there for 30 minute. I've tried to put the tablet into recovery CWM but fail to do so. The computer would not recognize the tablet. The adb shell shows no device were connected.
First re-flash
I will have to re-flash my tablet, to able to use it again. That's the only workaround I know. But, this time, I choose VegaICS Beta1 as my base. After nvflash VegaICS Beta1, I install VegaCream from CWM. A few hours using the tablet, installing application I regularly use, some voluntary reboot and power off, then power on again, then the tablet refuse to boot. It only gave me the backlight. I sat down, try to remember the last act I've done before the tablet's death, and I remember that the Wi-Fi was left on when I power off the tablet. I re-flash my tablet for the second time!
Second Try
I still with VegaCream until now. The caution is to turn off the Wi-Fi before I power off the tablet. May be that's the cause, maybe another, I don't know. But the tablet keep booting everytime I turn the power on, until now.
Maybe this is just a bug scanno has missed but can not confirm that. I will just do my turn off before turn off, to keep the tablet boot when I need it. If something else happen, making the tablet unbootable again. I'll write another post.
Thank you for reading!

VegaCream Beta2 All is Working
I have try this ROM by scanno...
I must say, this ROM is the best ROM available. I've done some minor test, for the camera, gps, sound, video, bluetooth, internal 3G.. all are working great. The Wi-Fi is working. No touchscreen issue.
I test the internal GPS using endomondo, foursquare, path and google maps -- it's working. The GPS is able to locate the satellite.
Music plays fine. Video is a little slow for HD format 720p experiencing stuttering playback. But, lower bitrate plays great!
All and all this ROM is the best uptodate ROM I've ever use. I like it very very much. Thanks to scanno and people that make this ROM happen :)

VegaICS will never Out of it's Beta status -- Thread Closed
Disappointment is what I feel when I go to VegaICS thread at tabletROM and I saw [Discontinued] on the thread title. I, maybe we all, vega owners, have put a big hope on this ROM, but what can we do???. The developer of this ROM has decided to end his effort.
If only I have the knowledge and resource to develope one ROM, I'll do that. But, neither skill nor the computer resources I have can never meet the requirement to do so. That's just the way it work, when it comes to community effort, we are not in the position of demanding something from the dev, we just hope. And if the dev have time and care about people that puts hope on them, we can expect something out of it. But, in reality, they have real world work to do, they have family and responsibility.
With all the disappointment, I can say enough to thanks the brilliant effort of cass and the gang has put on the ROM development. Thank you very much!
Maybe there will be new hope from VegaCream by scanno. As cass said in his last post on vegaICS thread, we are in scanno's good hand. Let's just hope hope hope so!
